About the service

Norwest Claims is a marketing and enquiry-handling service. This page explains, in plain terms, what we do, what we don't do, how we're paid, and what happens to your information.

Before this goes live: the sections below are drafted to the correct shape and tone, but the bracketed placeholders — company number, ICO registration number, solicitor firm's name and SRA number, and FCA permission details — need to be filled in with your actual registration details once confirmed, ideally reviewed by whoever handles your FCA/LASPO compliance.

What we do

Norwest Claims collects details about accidents from people who believe they may have a personal injury claim, and passes those enquiries to our solicitor partner, [Solicitor Firm Name], authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA number [XXXXXX]). We do not give legal advice, assess the merits of a claim, or represent claimants in any capacity.

How we're paid

Norwest Claims operates under a marketing services agreement with our solicitor partner. We are paid a fixed fee for marketing and enquiry-handling services we provide — we are not paid a fee per referral, per enquiry, or per case, and no payment we receive depends on whether a claim is pursued or succeeds. This reflects the requirement under the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO), which prohibits referral fees in personal injury cases.

Our regulatory status

Norwest Claims Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number [XXXXXXXX]. [Include FCA authorisation/permission reference here if the site's activities require it — e.g. lead-generation permission under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001.]

Your data and privacy

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, contact details, and information about your accident, including details that may constitute special category data under UK GDPR (for example, information about an injury or medical condition).

How we use it

  • To pass your enquiry to our solicitor partner so they can contact you about your potential claim.
  • To respond to any queries you raise with us directly.
  • We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes beyond handling your enquiry.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@norwestclaims.co.uk. Norwest Claims is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number [XXXXXXX].

Complaints

If you're unhappy with the service you received from Norwest Claims (as opposed to the handling of your legal claim, which is a matter for our solicitor partner directly), please contact us at complaints@norwestclaims.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.

Complaints about our solicitor partner's conduct of your claim should be directed to them in the first instance, and if unresolved, may be escalated to the Legal Ombudsman.
